The Hands
Closing the
autonomous loop

Our AI models pinpoint rejuvenation targets. We need the physical infrastructure to validate them. We are seeking automated liquid handling, sequencing and assay hardware to build a human-free execution loop.

01The Blueprint

Two stages run themselves.
Two are still done by hand.

A closed research loop means a hypothesis can be generated, executed, measured and fed back without a person in the middle. We have the thinking half. The physical half — preparation and sequencing — is where the loop breaks and a human has to carry a plate across a room.

02The Ask

The instruments that
close stages 02 and 03.

Nothing on this list is aspirational. Each item removes one manual handover from the loop, and each is useful on its own — a plate reader without a liquid handler still earns its bench space. Surplus, ex-demo and end-of-support units are welcome; we arrange collection and siting.

Nanopore P2 Solo

+ PromethION flow cells · long reads

Closes stage 03. Long reads let us call methylation directly from native DNA — no bisulfite step, no separate array. The single instrument that turns our models from theory into measurement.

Opentrons Flex

HEPA enclosure · 96-channel head · gripper

Closes stage 02. Library preparation is the step that quietly destroys reproducibility when a tired human does it at 22:00. Automated, it becomes a parameter we can version-control.

Thermocyclers

96-well · heated lid · robot-accessible deck

Amplification inside the automated run rather than beside it. Two units let a run continue while the next plate cycles — the difference between one experiment a day and four.

Priority HighSurplus welcome

Plate reader

Absorbance · fluorescence · luminescence

Quantification and assay readout feeding straight back into stage 04. Also our quality gate: a run that fails QC should be caught by an instrument, not discovered three days later in the data.

Priority HighSurplus welcome

Extraction bench

Centrifuge · magnetic rack · vortex

The unglamorous front of the pipeline. High-molecular-weight extraction determines read length, and read length determines whether long-read sequencing was worth doing at all.

Priority SupportingAny working unit

Cold chain

−80 °C · −20 °C · 4 °C storage

Sample and reagent integrity. Without validated cold storage every result carries an asterisk no reviewer will accept — and reagents are the most expensive thing we throw away.

We would make them
the engine.

In a big facility your hardware is one line in a procurement schedule. Here it is the core of a fully instrumented, AI-driven loop — visible, documented, and photographed doing the thing your marketing team keeps commissioning illustrations of.

ReferenceA live installation in the EUA running site prospective customers can visit, in a lab small enough that they will actually see the instrument rather than a corridor.
MethodsProtocols publishedRun parameters and failure modes written up and shared. Real operating detail from an unusual use case beats another customer quote.
TelemetryUtilisation reportingRuns completed, uptime, consumable throughput. How the instrument performs in a fully automated loop — data your own labs rarely generate.
NarrativeNamed integrationIndependent lab, no cloud, four disease tracks, one automated loop. Co-branded case-study rights — a story with a face on it.
